Bluefish in Connecticut

Here's some scenes from our Connecticut fishing trip in 1998.

 
A Double

We caught doubles and triples on these umbrella rigs. In fact, we had four fish on one line on at least 2 occasions, but the weight was too much to pull out of the water. We would lose one or two in the process.

Bluefish Everywhere

We caught 60 bluefish by 9:00 AM. That was the limit for 6 guys, and we spent the rest of the day trying to locate the stripers.

The Fillets

The mate spent 2 hours filleting bluefish. We had too much to bring home so we gave the captain half of the catch.
