    • Note about Boman(?): Possibly came to this country in the 1720’s with his elder brother. Brother returned to France a few years later. No one is absolutely certain of this progenitor’s name. Another descendant of his I had contacted once said he heard that his name was Boman, but could not prove it. Yet another descendant claims that Boman (?) was a soldier serving under Lafayette during the French and Indian War and came to this country during the 1730's, settling in Virginia and marrying a Virginia woman.
