Crock Pot Chili

1 - 19 oz can kidney beans - drained

1 - 15 oz can tomato sauce

2 - 14 1/2 cans chopped tomatoes

2 medium green peppers - chopped
-
1 large onion - chopped
-
1/2 tsp minced garlic
-
2 1/2 lbs ground beef
-
1/2 tsp celery seed
-
1 1/2 tbs chili powder
-
1/2 tbs crushed chili
-
1 tsp cumin
-
1/8 tsp Italian seasoning
-
4 or 5 "shakes" Tabasco
-
1 small bay leaf
-
1 tsp salt
-
1 tsp pepper
Sauté onion, garlic & peppers in small
skillet. Brown beef in large skillet. Drain fat. Add all ingredients to
crock pot. Cook on high 4-6 hours or medium 6-8 hours.

Beef Stew
-
1 tbs flour
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
dash pepper
-
1-2 lbs stew beef
-
1 can tomato soup
-
1 can (1 1/4 cup) water
-
1 packet onion soup mix
-
1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
-
4 medium potatoes - pared and cubed
-
3 medium carrots - cut in 1"
pieces
-
1/4 cup dry red wine
Meat can be browned or added raw. Mix soup,
water, seasoning, salt pepper, onion soup mix, wine and flour. Add meat,
potatoes & carrots. Bake at 375 degrees for 2 1/2 - 3 hours or put in
crock pot on high for about 6 - 8 hours. Makes 4 - 5 servings.
