Mabel's Green Bean Casserole
(an old holiday standby - we were turned
onto this casserole by my late stepmother, Mabel Rowe, so we always call
it Mabel's casserole...)

3/4 cup milk

1/8 tsp pepper

10 3/4 oz can cream of mushroom soup
(cream of celery works well too)

2 - 9 oz packages frozen cut green beans
- thawed (or 2 - 14 1/2 oz cans green beans, drained)

1 1/3 cups French fried onions
In 1 1/2 qt casserole, mix all ingredients
except 2/3 cup of French fried onions. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees or
until hot. Top with remaining onions - bake 5 minutes or until onions are
golden brown.
